Youtube Video Proves HP WebCam Bug

Desi Cryer, a youtube user, has posted a video that clearly shows a problem on the facial recognition system present on the newest HP laptops. Apparently the video shows the webcam failing to do what it’s suppose to on black people.

Facial recognition:

As per wikipedia, Facial A facial recognition system is a computer application for automatically identifying or verifying a person from a digital image or a video frame from a video source. One of the ways to do this is by comparing selected facial features from the image and a facial database.

The Demonstration:

Cryer demonstrate how his HP webcam doesn’t follow him, but seems to have no trouble following his white co-worker Wanda Zamen. We all know that this is just a software/programming issue but Cryer has started the joke that HP’s new Webcams are racists. Below you can watch the video and see whether HP’s webcam is racist or not.
