I spent few days trying to remove a virus on my Vista/ acer computer, one of the anti spyware/virus/Trojan removals messed with a file somewhere and since then, every time I start my pc I get multiple pop-ups as described in this article. I tried every thing that was published on the net related to this subject and nothing worked. Till I found this article which cleared up the matter for me, these pop-ups are related to an HP software, an installation became corrupted. and since I only have two installations related to HP printers, it was easy to uninstall them. the problem disappeared thanks to the info from this article.
So, thanks a million guys, you really made my day.

Thanks for this. I bought a Hewlett Packard HP Deskject F4580 this week. I am running Windows XP Home but this thing somehow automatically tried to install SmartWebPrinting. Now, every few minutes this thing tries to install itself and when I try to cancel it won't. It just goes around and around in a loop and I can't kill it. It's wasting hours of my time. The only thing I ever had that was more of a nuisance was a Trojan.
