HP software is sometimes vulnerable to firewalled computers. Despite of HP’s effort to improve compatibility and trust on their products to common Windows firewall applications (ESET(Nod32), Norton (SYmantec), McAfee, BitFinder, ZoneAlarm, others) there is still a flaw in the installation process that cause HP’s software to be blocked by your local firewall. Even your router’s Built in Firewall can cause failure for your wireless HP product to work harmoniously with your firewall turned On.
I have made this document to give you a complete list of exceptions that you need to add to your firewall in order to ensure proper installation of your product.
