Error Message: Unable to communicate with your printer at this time. This may be caused by a Firewall. If you are using firewall software, verify TCP port 9100 is unblocked from your PC to your printer at 192.168.1.100.
If you reconfigure the firewall, click Retry to see if the network communication is unblocked or click Next to continue.
This is cause by a firewall blocking one or more ports that the HP software requires. You may still choose to continue the installation and the printer should work, however the scanner driver will not be installed on your computer and you are not able to scan from solution center or any other scanner application. To resolve this you need to follow these steps:
- Uninstall everything related to you HP product.
- Add Firewall exemptions – Make sure you determine what firewall are you using. You may be using windows built-in firewall or a third-party firewall application.
- Reinstall the software.
