Try this.
Create a new user account with full admin rights. Uninstall the hp printer from your original admin accout. Restart your pc and long onto the new admin account. Install the hp printer in your new account - it should install without error. Log off and log on to your original account. The issue should be resolved. You can then remove the new admin account you created. Good luck, it worked for me.

I had the error "HP CUE-Scanning Flow Component has encountered a problem and needs to close" and I followed the steps to edit the registry and replace the registry entry: ProfileWritePath value: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\HP\Digital Imaging\Data\Destination and it worked! Thank you HP!
