I just built a new computer system and I must say that it has some very ambitious specs which easily made me overlook a minor yet very important detail, HEAT.
My new system is screwed up. It freezes randomly and has some occasional short beeps inside the CPU and Shutdowns unexpectedly. Troubleshooting the issue took me hours and a couple of OS reformatting to figure out that it was heat that was causing it and not a faulty Operating system.
Tools:
1. SpeedFan – A GUI tool that shows you which part of your system is heating up and lets you control the fan speed of your components.
2 EVGA Precision – This is tool is just the same as Speed-Fan however it is more focused on you GPU or Video Card.
In my case, 100% fan speed is not enough so I had opened up my CPU to give it more airflow. I am thinking of changing my casing and rearrange everything like on this guide.
