Resetting the network to its default values may sometimes be necessary to ensure proper setup of your printer on your wired/wireless network. Ideally you do need to do this but if you are having problems with your network HP printer then resetting network defaults may be your best shot to connecting your printer to your router/access point.
Resetting network defaults for All-in-one printers that has a visible setup menu are rather easy. Basically all you need to do is press on that setup button and go to Network and Press “ok” on restore network defaults and that’s it! These steps apply to following printers:
- HP Photosmart Premium Fax
- HP Photosmart C8180
- HP Photosmart C7280
- HP Photosmart C6180
- HP Officejet J4680
- HP Officejet J6480
- HP Officejet L7780
- HP Officejet L7590
- HP Officejet 6500 Wireless
- HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless
- HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier
However for the following smaller box printers, doing this are rather confusing.
- HP Photosmart C4435
- HP Photosmart C4440
- HP Photosmart C4450
- HP Photosmart C4472
- HP Photosmart C4473
- HP Photosmart C4480
- HP Photosmart C4483
- HP Photosmart C4485
- HP Photosmart C4580
- HP Photosmart C4583
- HP Photosmart C4585
- HP Photosmart C4599
For the printers mentioned above, all you have to do is push the wireless radio button and there you will be able to see the necessary menu options. Go to Network and Press “ok” on restore network defaults and that’s it!
